December.........
It is a time to be grateful for all the things we have. I am so grateful for my family that is healthy, happy, and content. Brent and I have been doing the normal things like working and taking care of our family. We are both so thankful to have jobs that have not really been effected by the "Recession". As for Brent's everybody needs to eat right and with me in the medical field it really doesn't change. In fact it is my busiest time of year, everybody has met there deductibles so they all want to have surgery before the end of the year. So again we are thankful for our occupations because so many families have been effected. Jade is currently an official licensed driver (drivers beware), actually she is very good just like everything else she has always been really responsible. Keaton & Korbin are getting ready to start basketball and keep us on the up and up. All 3 Kids are looking forward to the snow since they all have a snowboarding hobby and a dad who uses them as an excuse to go skiing. Yes he is in the clear since his back surgery to go ski the mountain (imagine that). We are also blessed with our extended family that lives with us. Tanya and the girls are doing wonderful. I am so proud of her and what she has accomplished in a year. She has made some very difficult decisions that have just made her a stronger person. She recently started dental assisting school and her support system seems to grow and grow. She is an amazing person and all four of them have been a great addition to our family. Happy Holidays to all and God Bless Everyone!

October..........

I have not posted for ever! I'm so sorry to all those who like myself look for new updates on all my friends and family! I want to tell you how busy I am but, who isn't! We are finishing the end of fall baseball and O what a great time! Both Keaton and Korbin finished the season participating in the "Fall Extravaganza" tournament. Korbin's team did so well, the won 2 out of 4 games and only lost the other ones by 1 point and 4 points they really have stepped up to the plate (ha,ha,ha) and learned alot this season! Keaton made it to the championship game which we have not experienced up until this weekend. It was a very intense game and we ended up be the runner-up with a loss of 10-16! Congratulations to the En Fuego for going as far as they did! I always feel like I need to do pictures with my blog unfortunately I do not have any of the games! We have enjoyed our Summer and hope that the Fall will be just as good! We are getting ready for the next holiday which of course is Halloween, Keaton hates this holiday! He does not like the scary version of costumes to put it mildly, he says he may not even want to go trick or treating. Korbin still is trying to figure his costume and of course the little girls have picked there costume and are ready. Jaycee is to be Snow White, Kayla is Cinderella and Alexia will be the cutest bunny ever! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

On sunday Tanya & I decided to do a picnic with the kids. So we loaded her 3 girls, my boys and lunch in the car. We went to Bridal Veil Falls to have our picnic. It was a gorgeous day, nice and warm. I got a wild hair to hike the falls with a little concern as to if the kids could make the hike. The kids were amazing! Jaycee & Kayla (ages 5 & 4) hiked without any whining at all they were such troopers. My boys were so great at helping the girls through the rough patches and I packed 15 month old Alexia all the way! Whew, that was a little nerve racking. It was such a great moment when we all got to the top and Tanya mentioned how grateful she is that she could share that moment with her girls, it made me realize how important it was that I got that wild hair. The only thing I regretted was not bringing the camera!

August.........Well Korbin turned 9 on the 9th and wow, my baby is getting so big. He is probably the silliest of the boys and he is also very easy going. He has all day to do what he is doing and he has good intentions on "doing it in a minute" although a minute very rarely comes with out Brent or I getting on his case. He is a good boy and can be very helpful. We also recently went to Flaming Gorge for a weekend trip before school started. It turned out to feel more like October than August. Our river run usually turns into a huge water fight and lots of water. This trip we only got wet if the rapids got us wet. The high during the day was 68 degrees and at night we turned the furnace on in the trailer. Lisa, I thought of you and your family as we drove through Vernal. I hope all is well. School started today and I think I get more emotional the older I get. I got teary eyed taking Korbin into his 3rd grade class, this coming from a mom who did not cry when they started Kindergarten. What is up with that? Also we will be starting baseball life again both boys are playing fall ball. I love getting back to a scheduled life after summer, but it sure is hard to keep up with all of it and work.

Okay-Otter Creek! What can I say we had so much fun these pictures show just how much! It was extremely hot and we loved the shade by the middle of the afternoon, also spent alot of time playing in the water. The little girls had alot of fun on their first camping trip. Alexia loved the boat and Jaycee & Kayla got a little more confident in the water! It was great spending the family time. Everyone who fished caught their limit every day of course it was fish fry every night so they could start all over again the next day. The men of my life were just content and in their element!

Well we have officially slowed down baseball so now it's time to vacation! We are getting ready to go on a camping trip for 6 days all 9 of us! We are very excited about this trip. My family gets together quite often so last year Brent's family decided to try to do a trip together. It turned out to be such fun that I recommended it to Brent to try to get an annual trip going since Brent has lost 2 brothers we feel it is extremely important to make memories that will last through several generations we hope. The cousins really have a great time and it's nice to sit and visit. I am especially excited to get to share this trip with Tanya & her girls it will be so good to have them there, they missed out on alot of good times with the family. Tanya just bought the girls a life jacket for the trip, the girls were so excited they had to try them on with their pajamas and wear them around the house it was quite cute. Jade is also going with us this time so it will be great for her to share this special event with all of us. My boys love the fishing, swimming and everything about the trip. I will have to share pictures when we get back!

So here it is... I have had one of my worst nightmares come true. Korbin was playing baseball in a city league tournament on thursday night. I dropped him off to warm up with the team and ran back home to change my clothes so I could get back to the game as soon as possible. Of course the game starts before I get back and Korbin hits his first Homerun (in the park) and I'm not there to see it, nor is his dad because of work. What's done is done right. Well tell my heart that. Now Korbin gets a coupon for a free drink at the snack shack for the homerun and he replies "that's ok I don't need a drink the homerun is enough" while grinning from ear to ear. His mom is heartbroken to think she didn't get to see it and feels completely robbed of a great childhood moment. So for all those parents that feel like they missed a moment of impact in their childs life,
I feel for you!

Well, it has happened! Keaton turned 11 on the 14th of June! It was a hit, I worked and Brent took 8 boys miniature golfing, then back to the house for pizza and treats! The 8 boys finished off 3 medium pizzas is seconds. Now I know these boys parents and they are fed on a regular basis all I can say is I have no idea how families of say, 5 or 6 boys feed them all! I don't know if they ever really get full. Anyway they all seem to have a good time. I have to confess I am not much of a party planner, in fact I hate it. Birthdays are important to me I just hate planning parties, the time to plan etc. I also think there should be some ethical code as far as giving a mom a party invitation no less than a week in advance, just to be considerate! My sister Wendy is the party planner, that girl goes all out. The parties she plans are usually themed and focus around that theme. Maybe I should see if she could just plan my kids' for them! P.S. She would also need to be in charge! (ha, ha).

It is now 2 days away from my son turning 11! According to his thoughts he can do anything he wants, According to us (the parents) life for him does not change. I think the challenges of parenting does not ever get easier the challenges just turn to different things and I'm not sure we are ever ready for teenagers. I know I fear those years! Jade has been such a delight that she is not breaking us in very well. We are blessed with good children for the most part. I enjoy being a mother and working, it's the being a working mother that is not convenient. I do mange to accomplish the working mother thing on a weekly basis getting everyone where they need to be even if I can't be the one to get them there the arrangements are made and at the end of the week I sit back with a sigh and think to myself "I did it another week accomplished" until sunday evening and I'm back to planning my week again. So to all of you who are as busy as we are (who isn't) god bless you & good luck.

Hello the computer world! These blogs are great! We have had a full house now for 7 1/2 months and enjoy it! Tanya and her 3 little girls have added some pink to our testosterone infested house. It is such a delight to have a relationship with her. The boys are of course playing baseball till there is no tomorrow. Brent works, works & works. Jade gets her driving license in November and is a beautiful teenager. I just taxi, work and enjoy being the biggest baseball fan there is (only don't ask me about the pro's).
