So here it is... I have had one of my worst nightmares come true. Korbin was playing baseball in a city league tournament on thursday night. I dropped him off to warm up with the team and ran back home to change my clothes so I could get back to the game as soon as possible. Of course the game starts before I get back and Korbin hits his first Homerun (in the park) and I'm not there to see it, nor is his dad because of work. What's done is done right. Well tell my heart that. Now Korbin gets a coupon for a free drink at the snack shack for the homerun and he replies "that's ok I don't need a drink the homerun is enough" while grinning from ear to ear. His mom is heartbroken to think she didn't get to see it and feels completely robbed of a great childhood moment. So for all those parents that feel like they missed a moment of impact in their childs life,
I feel for you!

Well, it has happened! Keaton turned 11 on the 14th of June! It was a hit, I worked and Brent took 8 boys miniature golfing, then back to the house for pizza and treats! The 8 boys finished off 3 medium pizzas is seconds. Now I know these boys parents and they are fed on a regular basis all I can say is I have no idea how families of say, 5 or 6 boys feed them all! I don't know if they ever really get full. Anyway they all seem to have a good time. I have to confess I am not much of a party planner, in fact I hate it. Birthdays are important to me I just hate planning parties, the time to plan etc. I also think there should be some ethical code as far as giving a mom a party invitation no less than a week in advance, just to be considerate! My sister Wendy is the party planner, that girl goes all out. The parties she plans are usually themed and focus around that theme. Maybe I should see if she could just plan my kids' for them! P.S. She would also need to be in charge! (ha, ha).

It is now 2 days away from my son turning 11! According to his thoughts he can do anything he wants, According to us (the parents) life for him does not change. I think the challenges of parenting does not ever get easier the challenges just turn to different things and I'm not sure we are ever ready for teenagers. I know I fear those years! Jade has been such a delight that she is not breaking us in very well. We are blessed with good children for the most part. I enjoy being a mother and working, it's the being a working mother that is not convenient. I do mange to accomplish the working mother thing on a weekly basis getting everyone where they need to be even if I can't be the one to get them there the arrangements are made and at the end of the week I sit back with a sigh and think to myself "I did it another week accomplished" until sunday evening and I'm back to planning my week again. So to all of you who are as busy as we are (who isn't) god bless you & good luck.

Hello the computer world! These blogs are great! We have had a full house now for 7 1/2 months and enjoy it! Tanya and her 3 little girls have added some pink to our testosterone infested house. It is such a delight to have a relationship with her. The boys are of course playing baseball till there is no tomorrow. Brent works, works & works. Jade gets her driving license in November and is a beautiful teenager. I just taxi, work and enjoy being the biggest baseball fan there is (only don't ask me about the pro's).
